The black sheep/black horse is somebody who behaves very differently or badly, and is considered shameful by other members of their family.

If something happens out of the blue/out of the purple, it happens very suddenly or unexpectedly.

If you are greened off/browned off, you are bored or fed up.

The most important thing to remember when doing something is called the golden rule/golden law.

A person who is blue with envy/green with envy is someone who is very jealous.

To be tickled pink/licked pink, means are very happy about something.

If you paint the town gold/paint the town red, you go out and have a really good time in bars and clubs.

silver lining/silver rain refers to the good or pleasant side-effects of an unpleasant situation.

A pink elephant/white elephant, is something that is useless even though it might cost a lot of money.
